It's a Love Story - Out Takes

"MOM, Why are are you ripping my ears off?"
(I was fixing her hair, I promise)

"Don't tell me how to smile, I am sooooo unimpressed with you".

"Hmmm...How can I get into trouble?"

"Ha ha ha Suckers, I am going to strip on this stage, in a church during my parents wedding...Take that!"

"Go sit down right now and I will buy you any Lego set you want I don't care how much it costs, go sit down."
(said through gritted teeth while smiling of course)

(Trying to hold back the tears, so I didn't start a full on ugly cry)

"Bwahaha, I ruined your picture"

Umm...where did July go? oh, Hi there August!

So today is August 1st.  Where did July go?  I'm not entirely sure what happened to the summer but its half over and I'm not really OK with that.  I am not looking forward to getting up, putting a kid on the bus, lunch making, missing my baby girl while she is at school.  I love summer! I love having nothing to do besides what we feel like doing.  No plans unless we make them, well except for Mike.  He has that annoying thing called work but even he has been extremely lucky this summer with 3 weeks off in a row.  I guess we were pretty busy in July which explains why it just kind of flew by.

Best decision of my life! I'm really super lucky he wants to put up with me for the rest of our lives.
The week after our wedding, we spent deliriously happy and packing and planning for our honeymoon.

July 7th - 17th :

Woke up every morning to incredible views like this in Maria Alm, Austria.

Took cheesy photos in front of famous places.  Anyone know what this is?
Any musical fans out there?
It's pretty hard to tell from this shot but this is the Gazebo from The Sound of Music.  The one where they sing  16 going on 17.

Harmony and Kiki finally got to meet and hit it off immediately. Kirstin left days before I had Harmony.

(All Vacation pictures Courtesy of Roberto, because I'm lazy and haven't uploaded my own yet)

This was taken in Saalfelden. Just walking around, shopping taking in the the atmosphere, which usually included chocolate and rain.

That was the majority of July.  The remaining days were spent unpacking, readjusting to regular life and the time zone.  Now it is August.  We have had an amazing once in a lifetime July.  We have a few things planned for August.  Nothing as exciting as July but we get to spend the rest of the summer with our kids, so it will be filled with love, laughter, excitement and lots of cuddles.  It doesn't matter what we do or where we go as long as we are together.  I'm a very happy girl :)

Back to Reality - post wedding/honeymoon

So we are back! We are happy, healthy and in one piece.  I know its been awhile since I've posted but we were all consumed with wedding and then honeymoon plans.  I think I need a vacation to recover from everything.  Yes, I know I just returned but I think I could really use a few days to mentally prepare and get my head back into the so called game.

On our honeymoon/vacation everything was done for us and we only had one child to wrangle.  Coming back and being thrown back into our three ring circus life was a bit of a shock.  Oh yeah, crap I have 3 little people that need me and no one to help since Mike is back to work. Cooking, cleaning, laundry, playing, crafts, bedtime, baths, snacks...OK, wait a minute...I think we need to be rich, so I could have a full time assistant to do all the boring stuff while I enjoy playing with the kids.  I probably wouldn't have to pull out the mean mommy voice nearly as often.

We had an amazing wedding.  It was perfect.  Every detail was exactly what we wanted and it was a day just for us to celebrate our love and life long commitment.  Believe me, we are two very happy people.  I don't think we could have smiled any bigger if we tried. I will post our wedding story and pictures someday soon.

Our honeymoon was equally amazing.  If I didn't have to return home I think I would have just stayed.  The mountains, cobble stone, quaint shops, everything was amazing...except the creepy rest stop but that's a story for another day.  I promise to post pictures and stories another day as well.

I could totally post a million happy memories from the last 3 weeks but the kids... shoot the kids...well not actually shoot the kids, more like shoot I forgot about them.  They are begging for supper (which is in the oven and smells delicious), slapping each other, riding the dog, fishing in the dog water and doing gymnastics under the table.  How many more hours until Daddy returns from work? 6.5 hours.  OK, guess I better suck it up and stop being a princess.

If you give a mom a muffin...

A friend posted this on Facebook today and well I love it.  We are big fans of the IF YOU GIVE A... book series around here, so this made me giggle.

Pretty cute huh? I thought so too! Well enough procrastination from me and back to finishing up the final details of our wedding ... which is oh yeah, I decided to stop counting down since it was freaking me out more....eek. It's 11 days..crap... Better get back to it!

Days like this...

It's shaping up to be one of those days and we've only been awake for an hour.  I'm not sure if its because there were anywhere from 1-4 people in my bed last night or everyone is starting to feel the mounting pressure of the wedding but whatever it is, its driving me nuts!

Camden woke up like he was being murdered, screaming like a maniac as usual but today it just seemed more annoying.  I mean who doesn't love being woke up to screaming about milk in a bottle 3 inches from your left ear (he doesn't even drink from a bottle anymore unless Daddy gives into him when Mommy's not watching).

Ella woke up with a swollen, infected ear (the top) .  I had the lovely pleasure of pouring alcohol on it  and rubbing an antibiotic cream on it.  If you know Ella, you know how well she doesn't deal with pain or blood.  One time when she skinned her knee at school she threw up on the boy next to her and had to come home. Needless to say she made more screeching noises while I was cleaning her ear than I did while popping out an 8lb 11 oz baby with out drugs.

There has been a fight over the last waffle which had to be split in half, a pencil that changes colour ( we have two, no need to fight) and who loves who more.  Its been a great morning so far.  One is now off to school, one is being shipped to Gamma Gampa's house and that just leaves the tiniest terror for me to deal with.  She has already emptied the contents of the snack cupboard while I was dealing with the others.  I sometimes have the feeling we live in a zoo, but you know what? I wouldn't trade it for anything.  Along with the grumpiness this morning I've been giving hugs, kisses, cuddles and smiles.  They really are sweet when they aren't whining, screeching, trying to kill each other, destroy stuff, drive me crazy, peeing on the toilet seat and being needy all at the same time.  When they aren't doing all of the above they really are the sweetest, kindest, cutest, smartest, funniest kids ever, which amounts to about 5 minutes per day per kid and I still wouldn't trade them in.

23 Days, but who's counting?

I am! I am counting! Every day, hour, minute, second...well you get the picture.  I am counting down to our wedding day.  I am over joyed, really I am.  My heart is thumping with joy and counter thumping with panic.  Don't get me wrong I am so excited as I never truly thought this day would come.  I have so much to do and its starting to be a bit overwhelming.  Mike thinks I'm over reacting but I will relax a little when he has a ring and a white shirt for his suit.  I finally found shoes and convinced him that a marriage license really is a good idea, considering you can't get married with out it, legally anyway.

On our to do list is to find a perfect candy for our favour boxes, as well as something borrowed and something blue.  Anyone have a pair of blue undies for me to borrow? No, please don't, I really was joking and I'm pretty sure blue would show right through my dress...I've discovered its pretty see through.  Does anyone know if a boutineer has to match the brides bouquet? Any ideas how to trick a 3 year old into wearing a suit?

My head is spinning and I'm a bundle of nervous energy.  Mike's going to start rethinking this whole marriage thing.  Lucky for him, I will return to normal in 23 days.  Maybe!

It's Fun to be One!

Yesterday was Harmony's 1st Birthday Party! No, I did not cry because her real birthday is not until tomorrow and then I will bawl.  I will bawl like a baby for my baby. My tiny Lil' peanut who just may or may not be our last.  *sigh*

We had a family birthday and Circus was the theme. Harmony made her debut in a Rainbow tutu custom made by Three Peas in a Pod Boutique.

Isn't she adorable?  (Tutu Inspired by Our April Mommas very own Rainbow M)

We had circus food which was yummy but sure was loaded with sugar.  Cotton candy, candy apples, rainbow cookies, licorice, animal crackers and lots more yummy junk.
My personal favourite candy apples and maybe Harmony's too!

She loved all her nice presents but the favourite seems to be her Toddler Mum Mums...

What can I say this kid loves to eat! Yes, she is hugging the box she loved them that much!

Every Birthday Princess needs a Pony!

Mmmm.....Cake!

Icing...Mmmmm!

My Beautiful Birthday Girl - Typical Harmony when there is food.

Thank You Uncle Tony for taking all the great birthday pictures!!
